musical fun day for tots to teens
As part of a jazz-packed weekend, The Doonbeg International Jazz Festival 2013 will be holding a FREE musical fun day for tots to teens on Saturday 1st June 2013 . This is a lovely opportunity for children to explore making music, trying out new instruments and having fun.
There will be three sessions for different age groups, and the workshops will take place in the Doonbeg Hall. Places are limited and anyone who is interested in taking part is asked to contact 065 9055345 or email.
Music Tots
11 - 12am
1 - 3 year olds with a parent - singing, action songs, dancing and small percussion - with a jazzy twist. Parents and their toddlers enjoy making music together and playing games.
Music Monsters
12.30 - 2pm
4 - 7 year olds - singing, dancing, games and trying out different instruments including percussion, a violin, and a trombone! Listening to each other, and making music as a group. Jazzy fun - no experience needed.
Making Music
2.30pm - 4pm
8 - 12 year olds - using voice, instruments and random objects to invent new music, and playing music games. Focus on jazzy tunes. No experience needed.
