Following the success of last year, The Doonbeg International Jazz Festival 2013 will again be holding a FREE musical fun day for tots to teens on Saturday 1st June 2013 . This is a lovely opportunity for children to explore making music, trying out new instruments and having fun.
The theme of this workshop is; "Stomping in the woods"
There will be two sessions for different age groups, and the workshops will take place in the Doonbeg Hall. Places are limited and anyone who is interested in taking part is asked to contact 065 9055345 or email; info@doonbegjazz.com
Music Monsters.
12.30pm to 2pm 0 - 6 yr olds (0 - 3s to be accompanied by adult). Maximum 20 children.
Singing, dancing, playing musical games and trying out new instruments including percussion, a trombone and a violin. Listening to eachother and having jazzy fun. No experience needed.
Making Music.
2.30pm to 4pm 7 - 12 yr olds. Maximum 20 children. Using voice, instruments and random objects to invent new music, and playing music games. Focus on jazzy tunes. No experience needed.
"Unique CD for children, Stomping in the Woods, will be available on the day for €10".
